Roblox and Minecraft YouTubers for kids have amassed billions of streams thanks to their creative gameplay and funny narration. Here are five of our favorites.
If you didn’t already have enough questions about Minecraft, it turns out there is a whole contingent of kids who love to watch other people play. Minecraft YouTubers for kids are hugely popular. Many of them are so popular, they’ve gone on to win awards and even write best-selling books.
Of course, not all gaming YouTubers are appropriate for kids. So we’ve rounded up five of our favorite kid-friendly Minecraft and Roblox YouTubers.
DanTDM: For the lifelong fans
Daniel Middleton started his mega-popular channel in 2012, making it as old as some of his biggest fans. With more than 17 billion (yes, billion with a “b”) views, it’s no wonder that his resume extends far beyond the internet. He’s embarked on gaming world tours, written a graphic novel that hit #1 on the New York Times Best Seller list, won Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, set Guinness World Records, and even topped a 2017 Forbes list of highest-paid YouTube stars. Middleton mostly posts Minecraft videos, though he’s also known to play Among Us and Fortnite.
CaptainSparklez: For the overachievers
Jordan Maron, a.k.a. CaptainSparklez, is an American YouTuber and Twitch streamer. He has several channels, though this main one focuses on Minecraft. His videos often follow his, “Minecraft, but…” format that finds Maron tackling highly unusual mods. In one of his most popular videos, for instance, he beats upside-down Minecraft. In another, he plays the game with only one block.
JeromeASF: For fun-loving kids
Jerome Aceti, the namesake of JeromeASF, has described his approach to gaming as a way to bring positivity and teach kids how to communicate and work together. Not surprisingly, a lot of his videos focus on multiplayer game-play, wherein he “pranks” his friends with funny mods or steals their hard-earned loot. He also loves building mods with recognizable characters such as Captain America and Superman. Up until now, his channel has been almost exclusively Minecraft, though he’s recently tweeted about getting into Roblox.
PrestonPlayz: For outgoing kids
Birds of a feather definitely flock together in Preston Blaine Arsement’s case—his dad, siblings, and wife all have their own YouTube channels, too. You can see his family in many of his Minecraft, Roblox, and Fortnite videos. PrestonPlayz exclusively features Minecraft gaming, including gameplay on his very own Minecraft server.
FGTeeV: For the family that games together
The Carters, the family of six behind this channel, are also wildly popular, with more than 19 billion views since launching in 2013. They can and do play everything, including Xbox, PlayStation, Wii, Switch, and PCs, though they’re big on Roblox for both Xbox and PCs. They even have their own mobile game app and recently released a children’s book that’s already an Amazon best-seller.
As much as we love streaming gameplay, we love creating games even more. Kids learn to build their own apps and games in our 1-on-1 digital coding classes.
